Join me in a generative online writing workshop at Fine Arts Work Center
On Permission, Truth-Telling, and Story Ownership
Hello friends,
As many of you know, I am at work on my fourth book, On Permission, which will be coming from Godine Books in 2024. This book has its roots in the question Who am I to tell my story?
A lot of you have reached out to me to inquire about upcoming workshops, so I would like to invite you to join me in my next one, which begins on Monday, October 24th: Permission and the New Memoirist. I am leading this 4-week workshop via the online arm of the wonderful Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. The class will be asynchronous, which means you can be located anywhere (really: I’ve had students from California and Malaysia in the same class) and log in at your leisure. There will be one optional ZOOM meeting every week so that we can all set eyes on each other, subject to everyone’s whereabouts and schedules. The level is set for intermediate/advanced, which means that it is assumed that you are at work on a project now or have experience taking previous writer’s workshops.
Please consider joining us for a generative experience —- you can expect to come away with new work, as well as revised preexisting work. Also: we’ll have fun, as we always do in my workshops.
For more information, click here, and feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
Looking forward to seeing you —-
Absolutely can not wait for On Permission
