I don't write nearly as eloquently as you do but I share your anger and frustration and I am deeply moved by your words. I've often felt these last few months that I would like to abandon this dumpster fire of a country and move elsewhere but I simultaneously feel that I must stay and fight- where would we be if everyone wanted to leave? The bad guys win if we all give up. I don't know- I'm 58 and tired of this but sometimes I feel like the younger generation needs to take the lead and fight for their and their children's futures. But, I may have grandchildren some day so I must fight for them, I guess. Take a deep breath and soldier on.
That fried chicken would be great with what my mom, and her mother before her, used to call “Cowboy Gravy.” Just substitute milk for the water or broth, and add plenty of black pepper. Also great over mashed potatoes or biscuits. Now I’m hungry.❤️
