This event sounds remarkably like the stuff I write about at my monthly substack newsletter at https://www.comfortfortheapocalypse.com/ - I am such a huge fan of Wintering and a Poor Man's Feast - but alas am far away on the other side of the continent. Such important conversations!
Thank you for the information. This sounds wonderful. Sorry I will not be able to make it as I just turned 81 years of age on 7/8, and am wheelchair bound due to Parkinson's Disease and other issues. Know everyone will have a fantastic time.
"very old woman"? Not so fast. I've been around the globe a couple more spins than you have. Is there some way that we strangers - through the magic of shared words - can help you feel "unbound"? How about a sub-stack of your own? If you already have one, I'm ready to become a paid subscriber. Years before the internet made it easier, armchair travel was one of my favorite diversions, even though my passport has many stamps from five continents. Katherine May in Maine and I didn't know until too late! So sad! Yet cool that she was here...
Thanks very much for your beautiful words, Marcie.
